Overview

The Housing portfolio is concerned with the country’s housing needs, creating quality housing opportunities for all Jamaicans, and addressing the issue of squatting, thereby facilitating personal wealth generation and the development of the Nation’s communities.

The Housing Portfolio is supported by the work of several Branches and Units as well as housing-oriented Agencies, such as the Real Estate Board and the Commission of Strata Corporations, the Rent Assessment Board, The Architect Registration Board, the Housing Agency of Jamaica, and the Jamaica Mortgage Bank.
