The ICDIMP is one of a suite of projects giving effect to the goals and objectives of Jamaica’s Strategic Programme for Climate Resilience (SPCR) and geared towards the climate change adaptation imperative outlined in Vision 2030 Jamaica.
The AP&FM Project is a part of the Pilot Programme for Climate Resilience (PPCR) in Jamaica. It is being implemented by the Ministry of Economic Growth and Job Creation.
The Project Development Objective (PDO) is to enhance community-based climate resilience among targeted fishing communities of Jamaica.
The project was designed to address water management issues related to climate change, which is the most serious threat to sustainable development facing Small Island Developing States (SIDS).
The Regional Track of the PPCR in the Caribbean is coordinated by a Programme Management Unit at the University of the West Indies’ Mona Office for Research and Innovation (UWI MORI) in Jamaica.
